Simply Spaces was founded by Sally Dickinson. Originally from St Albans, England, Sally left school with a degree in engineering and went on to pursue earlier careers in the aerospace and retail industries.

After helping several friends remodel and decorate their homes, Sally decided to develop her skills further by taking an interior design course at the Regent Academy in London. "Having relocated my family many times, I discovered that I had the ability to create a home wherever we were. People started asking me for advice, and it was great to formally supplement my engineering and spatial design skills with knowledge of colour and textiles. It really completed the picture for me."
